Course Overview
Organizations require a diverse set of skills to enhance the productivity and performance of their employees. Creating and leading high-performance teams are key challenges for executives as well as companies around the world, especially during a crisis such as Covid-19. The Covid-19 pandemic has created challenges and opportunities that require transformational leadership and high-performance teams to be successful in the “new normal” environment.

This course is based on the book “Blue Shark Team-Building: Leading High-Performance Teams during a Crisis,” which includes the Blue Shark Team-Building Model of leading high-performance teams. The model was created based on research on emotional intelligence and team-building. The course has been designed to enhance leadership and team-building skills so that Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, executives, leaders, project managers, and team members can cope with a national crisis such as Covid-19 and thrive in the new normal.

Participants learn how to implement various models on leadership, team-building, and emotional intelligence, including the Blue Shark Team-Building, Daniel Goleman’s model on emotional intelligence, and Bruce Tuckman’s model on team-building. The emphasis of the course is on “how to implement these models” and “how to lead and create high-performance teams” during a crisis such as Covid-19 and the new normal.

Leadership, team-building, and emotional intelligence are inter-connected and can create a competitive advantage for companies during a crisis and the new normal. Research studies have shown that possessing transformational leadership skills and high-performance teams can lead to greater customer satisfaction, innovation, employee retention, and organizational growth. As a result, leadership and team-building have become key success factors in leading and managing organizations successfully, especially during a crisis such as Covid-19.

The Covid-19 pandemic has produced a unique set of leadership and team-building challenges for companies, leaders, and executives. Thus, creating high-performance has become critical for companies and businesses to survive in the new normal of Covid-19.

In this course, the faculty will show executives: the dynamics of high-performance teams, the implementation of the Blue Shark Team-Building model in a real-life situation, and how to create a culture that fosters transformational leadership, team-building, and teamwork during a crisis and the new normal. This hands-on course will show real-life examples of how companies, not-for-profit organizations, and public sector entities have built high-performance teams, managed change initiatives, and achieved extraordinary results and business growth in a crisis, such as Covid-19 and the new normal.
